Don't be afraid of the new

So, God open my eyes to "my truth" that I am still operating out of fear of my work. I had to ask God the truth, and He said it so plain, "You are afraid to come to me in full prayer about the plans I have for you concerning this blog". It then hit me that I pray and believe for everyone else but not certain about myself, and when I do pray about my blog it is so quick and done in fear still. Wednesday morning and evening, two different messages about service was preached. Service is an act of willingness and it's not for us but to glorify God out of the obedience of doing His good works. Fear should not stop us from serving in the way God called us to serve. In 2 Timothy 1:6-7 "Therefore, I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." If we can just only lean onto His Word the way we should, the fear will go away. Stepping out of our comfort zone is always a load of nerves, but God will always give us the courage to do His work. I posted on Facebook, "Your control is getting in the way of God's control #LetYourselfGo". So, I say to you and myself today let us get out of God way so that He can move in us fully so we can serve others with the gifts that He placed inside of us. It's time to serve and it requires us to step outside our comfort zone. It may be all new but with obedience comes the joy and peace God tells us about when we are obedient.
