Today's Reading: Philippians 2:8; 2:13-16; 3:10-15
(Please read because having a goal means to be strategic and intentional about what to do in still moments)

In this very moment, I am learning how to put all my trust in God and stand still. Right now, God has me in a position where patience is needed in this season of my life. I had a real life moment the other day. If you don't know my occupation, I am a Teacher's Assistant for exceptional children. So the first day of school was August 29th, of course that means new students with new attitudes and challenging disabilities. Can you imagine it? Stressed wasn't the word, but I really asked God why? Why am I still in this position when You promised me something new. Then, the Holy Spirit dropped in my spirit the teaching my leaders taught us on "Being graced for what you're doing and where you're at". Immediately my attitude changed, I called on my prayer partners, and I made a decision. I prayed, asked God since you still have me here, please give me a strategic plan to serve my purpose in this position. He gave me a strategic plan, and I decided to be obedient--I can see the changes already, all while I am standing still. Reading Philippians this morning was right on time because having a heart to know more about Christ will help me focus less on any circumstances and more on His ways. We all experienced moments where God has us at a stand still whether it's in our careers, finances, marriages, ministries, or etc. The moment we have a made up mind about making the best out of our situations, we'll be able to pull on our strength in God to help us endure.
Prayer: Lord I ask that You give us strategies on how to be obedient in still moments. Take our eyes off of the circumstances and help us to set our eyes on You. Help us to learn how to focus on getting to know You, so that we can be the reflection of Christ when moments like this happen where being still and allowing You to be Lord over our lives is all you want us to do. We put our trust in You, Our Heavenly Father, in Jesus name Amen!
